Dare to Dream is an inspirational programme challenging young people to change the way they think. Working in partnership with leading organisations from the private, public and voluntary sectors, the Love Local Jobs Foundation will be supporting local schools and giving young people the confidence they need to fulfil their potential.
Delivered around core themes of self-awareness, mindset, gratitude, resilience, teamwork and employability the inspirational speaker and business mentors use their own experiences and extensive knowledge to drive and motivate young people.
Programme Lead, Jack the Lad, the well-known former host of the Breakfast Show on Heart FM, who is now on air with More Radio, will be presenting his own personal journey, as well as listening to and understanding the incredible stories from the local next generation and future workforce.
Goodwood will be supporting Cornfield School, a school for students who have social, emotional and or/behavioural difficulties, by helping 24 students from years 9, 10 and 11 to Dare to Dream. Alongside Jack’s personal narrative and inspirational deliveries, volunteers from Goodwood will mentor 8 students who are currently disengaged but believed to have great potential. Participating as mentors in the programme the volunteers will help to provide the students with hope about the opportunities available to them and to promote and reinforce core themes that are central to wellbeing, employability and a positive future.
Goodwood is a unique sporting estate set in 12,000 acres of rolling South Downs countryside. Owned by the Dukes of Richmond since 1697, it is has become famous for its thrilling motorsport events and spectacular horse racing. Whilst these two sports are a fundamental part of the Estate’s DNA, there is more to Goodwood than horses and cars: it includes an organic farm, four restaurants, two 18-hole golf courses, a private members club, an aerodrome, a health club, a lovely country hotel and a 10-bedroom luxury retreat. Goodwood has over 600 employees and employs over 1000 casual staff members during the events season.
Goodwood is delighted to support Dare to Dream and regularly works with the local community, through a variety of charitable and educational programmes. The staff at Goodwood are known for their passion and we hope that they will help inspire and motivate students so that they are able to get the most from every aspect of life.
