I’m thrilled to introduce our 2023/24 Annual Report, showcasing the incredible impact we’ve made in local communities across Sussex.
Thanks to the generosity and commitment of our supporters and collaborators, our small but dedicated team has been able to create meaningful opportunities for the next generation.
This year, we’ve delivered 88 inspirational assemblies to over 7,000 young people.
Moreover, through this year’s volunteer network of 154 amazing business mentors, working across some of the region’s leading employers - who generously support our programmes - we’ve been able to give 450 young people access to 1,350 one to one mentoring sessions, 90 interactive and employability-led workshops, and 30 eye-opening experiences in the world of work.
These initiatives are crucial as young people today face unprecedented societal and mental health challenges alongside a rapidly changing job market.
A special thank you goes to Daniel Ticehurst, MSc, for his invaluable help in creating this report. His expertise has elevated the way we showcase our progress and the tangible difference we’re making.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to expand our work into new regions and deepen the support we offer, ensuring students can continue their journey from school to early careers with the ongoing guidance and support of our programmes, mentors and supporting partners.
